This wine had burnt prune and cedar aromas that are coupled with raisin and black currant flavors. Aged in French and Hungarian oak barrels for 12 months. Finishing with subtle tannins and long lasting raspberry contours, it will pair excellent with honey-glazed ham, barbecue ribs and red-sauce pastas. 55% Zinfandel from Mendocino provides a fruit forward foundation. 25% Mendocino Syrah offers body and tannin for a nice rounded mouth feel, while 20% Napa Merlot adds that extra flare of elegance and complexity.
